Joshua PALMITER (P-265049)

Born in July 1, 1757 Westerly, Washington Co., Rhode Island. Served as a Pvt with Rhode Island Militia under Capt. West in Col. John Topping’s Regiment. He married 1)Ann Button, 2)Elizabeth Olds (1759-1827); children: Asahel, Ezra b. 1798 & Noble b. 1796. He died in 1839 and was buried at Harvard Grove Cemetery, 6100 Lansing Ave and East 57th, Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH. GM Western Reserve Chap. Further information: Western Reserve Chap. Edmund RATHBURN Sr (P-330659)

RATHBURN, EDMUND, born in 1754 or 56. He served as a Private in Rhode Island Militia (Massachusetts Troops ?). He married Mary Williams; children: Zebulon b. 1784, Anna Melinda b. 1791 and Edmund b. 1794. He Died in 1849 and Buried at Harvard Grove Cemetery, Sec 2, Lot 2, Grave 1, Lansing Ave and E 57th St., Cuyahoga Co., OH. GM Western Reserve Chap. Revolutionary War Graves Register. Clovis H. William Wheeler WILLIAMS (P-321207)

Born on April 25, 1760 Poquonock, Hartford County, Connecticut to Joseph (1723-1776) and Eunice Wheeler (1727-1804) Williams, their sixth child. He served as a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He married Ruth Granger (1767-1832) in 1787; children: Frederick, William W. Jr., Joseph, Martha and Mary Polly. With his wife and children he was one of the first settlers of Connecticut's Western Reserve in Ohio. In 1799 he built a grist and sawmill in Newburgh Township (an early name for this part of Cleveland). He died on September 5, 1831 and buried at Harvard Grove Cemetery, Plot Section 3 – Lot 76, 6100 Lansing Road, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. All of the Williams family buried at plot 76 were moved from the nearby Axtel Cemetery when it was abandoned in 1881. Inscription: WILLIAMS - William W Williams, born Apr 25, 1760, died Sep 5, 1831 in his 72nd year Cemetery notes and/or description: Established in 1881, owned by the City of Cleveland.
